Global leadership and respect for SOBA America: (3) Strengthening the SOBA America brand and reputation

A: Oversight of SOBA America projects and interests in Sasse College

Vision: Create an office of alumni affairs in Sasse College to have our eyes on the ground.

Discussion: This is another wonder initiative that was part of President Itoe’s vision. The initiative was approved by the general assembly in Boston. The Itoe administration has not been able to get this project done due to the current situation in Cameroon. The Fote administration will continue work on this project to its implementation and management.

Action items: The Fote administration will work with the principal and proprietor of SJC Sasse to provide office space for an office of alumni affairs in Sasse. (We will hire a SOBA Executive director who will run this office. The office will handle SOBA affairs. (We will work with other SOBA regional chapters to endorse this idea, so they can share the cost and benefits of such an office. Initially SOBA America will own and manage this until other regional chapters come on board. At that time, management will be a shared responsibility as agreed by the parties.
