Expand SOBA America benefits program:

Vision: We will expand our benefits program to ensure that all members in the USA and Canada have access to lots of benefits to membership.

Discussion: The Itoe administration’s benefits program which provides discounts to SOBANS through Abenity has been a great addition to SOBA America. Members can get savings from over 2000 stores and businesses on things they routinely purchase, from movie tickets, oil change, and rentals to major purchases such as cars, and much more. Unfortunately, our Canadian brothers do not have as many opportunities. We also have some opportunity with our US members in terms of awareness of these discounts that are available to them by virtue of their membership in SOBA America.

Action items: We will explore alternative discount programs that are also available in Canada, and are more user friendly. This will allow more widespread use of the discount program and provide instant benefits to every SOBAN who wants to take advantage of this. We will build a SOBA AMERICA APP that will, among other things, give SOBANS access to membership discounts at their fingertips on their smart phones.We will work to provide new benefits by forging partnerships between SOBA America and companies in the US, Canada and Cameroon. We currently have some partner Hotels in Cameroon which offer us discounts with our valid membership cards.

We will also work with our brothers in Canada to figure out an efficient way for them to contribute to fund drives without causing undue burden to them. We will explore options such as a SOBA America PayPal account, or a process to allow them to make their contributions via our website. We will solicit input from them and work together to arrive at a process that works for them.
