A: Big Brother Initiative - Mentorship:

Vision: We will create a platform for mentorship opportunities for our younger SOBANS and others who need help.

Discussion: One of the goals of the Fote administration will be to help our younger SOBANS who are new to the US or Canada find their footing. A lot of these younger SOBANS need a little lift to help them achieve their dreams. SOBA America is blessed with a tremendous variety of talent. We have SOBANS who have been successful in many areas, SOBANS who have influence in different areas. No SOBAN should be left behind. We need to take advantage of our brotherhood and lift each other up.

Action items: We will take advantage of the platform that our administration has already built in the membership portal of our website. We will encourage and urge registered members to register online to have access to our portal. That will populate relevant demographic and professional information such as areas of interest, occupation, business, location etc.

We will create a formal process where SOBANS can sign up to be mentored. We will pair them up with other SOBANS who have agreed to be the mentors. Having a structured program is important for data gathering and evaluation of the mentorship program. We will be able to present our findings and the impact at our SOBA America national conventions.
