Increase membership across chapters:

 
Vision: We will continue to grow SOBA America by increasing membership across chapters.

Discussion: The Itoe administration has worked hard over the past three and a half years and achieved record growth in terms of membership. This has been in part because of our administration’s outreach efforts to younger SOBANS. The appointment of czars, another innovation of the Itoe administration, has been a major reason for this success. We need to continue this and improve our outreach efforts.

Action items: We will make aggressive efforts to highlight the elements of our INCLUSION platform to SOBANS all over. We will listen to SOBANS and ensure that concerns are addressed, so that EVERY SOBAN IN THE USA AND CANADA WILL FIND A HOME IN SOBA AMERICA. We will continue recruitment efforts ALL YEAR ROUND, using social media, class groups, chapter leaders, czars, and other strategies to reach as many SOBANS as possible. By increasing the benefits of membership with tangible and intangible initiatives, we will give SOBANS reasons to belong. Several chapters have implemented benefit programs, social programs, community involvement programs and outreach programs which have helped improve membership in the chapters and improved their fundraising potential in their communities. We will network with these chapters to share what has been successful in order to have a blueprint for all chapters to follow.
