SOBA America Investment and Business Initiative 

Vision: We will create  investment and business opportunities for SOBANS to leverage SOBA America's reach and take advantage of the US economy.

Discussion: We have spent a lot of effort and energy doing projects for Sasse College. While this is awesome and should be continued, we also need to look at ways in which SOBANS here in the US and Canada can leverage the reach of SOBA America and take advantage of economic opportunities here.  We need to do something big for ourselves, using SOBA America as a platform. There is strength in numbers. SOBA America is growing, let us grow economically with SOBA America.

Action Items: We will Create a task force to consider investment options for SOBA America. The task force will be comprised of SOBANS from different backgrounds - business community, financial industry, legal community etc, and different generations - younger SOBANS and Senior SOBANS, so we can take advantage of the diversity of SOBA America. The task force will consider different investment and business options that SOBA America can engage in, such as real estate, stocks and bonds, and other ideas. The task force will also make recommendations on the structure and operation of the SOBA America Investment Initiative. SOBANS will be free to opt in and take advantage of these opportunities.  The general assembly will review and make final approval of investment/business strategies for SOBA America to adopt.

We will ensure that there is a robust and transparent operating process. We will consider every option needed to ensure successful implementation, oversight and management of the  SOBA America Investment & Business Initiative, including retention of independent professionals, as warranted.
