Innovation: (3) Improved efficiency and personal impact of SOBA America conventions

B: Personal growth and enrichment sessions at conventions:

Vision: We will make the SOBA America National convention a forum for SOBANS to gain valuable information/lectures/presentations for their personal growth and enrichment.

Discussion: Historically, SOBANS have generally only given to SOBA America. This is another initiative that will allow SOBANS to benefit from membership in SOBA America. This time, the benefit will be intellectual. This will also create additional motivation for SOBANS to attend the SOBA America National Convention.

Action items: We will have personal growth and enrichment sessions at all SOBA America national conventions. SOBANS will help identify topic matters that will be of interest and benefit to them. We will invite subject matter experts at our conventions to do presentations, symposiums etc. on these topics. Our conventions shall have a business meeting segment and an enrichment segment. With the improvements to the business meeting segment mentioned above, we will be able to easily accommodate a robust and meaningful enrichment process. Topics and themes shall be made known to SOBANS well ahead of the conventions.
