Innovation: (2) Improved fundraising strategies for SOBA America

B: Increase non-membership dues revenue for SOBA America:

Vision: We will increase revenue for SOBA America from sources other than membership dues.

Discussion: As an organization, there are several ways in which we can raise money through passive revenue sources. We will take advantage of these.

Action items: We will enroll SOBA America/Sasse Alumni Association into programs that will generate revenue for SOBA America through normal daily activities and habits of its members. Amazon Smile enrollment, for example, donates 0.5% of purchase price of eligible products purchased by members of the enrolled association. With Amazon being the largest online retailer, this can yield significant revenue for Sasse Alumni Association. We will also look at other opportunities.

We will also improve our branding while making money from it by taking advantage of the prestige and reputation of SOBA America. We will add a Virtual SOBA America store to our website and App where we will sell SOBA America branded merchandise. We will offer chapters the ability to market SOBAN chapter merchandise through a shared profit structured agreement. SOBAN jackets, polo shirts, cups etc. and other gift items shall be sold. This will improve our image and brand, while generating income for SOBA America.
