Innovation: (2) Improved fundraising strategies for SOBA America

C: Corporate sponsorship of SOBA America conventions:

Vision: We will seek multiple ways to fund our SOBA America convention, including corporate sponsorship.

Discussion: While we understand the difficulty in getting corporate sponsorship for an organization whose major focus is outside of the US, we feel we will be able to secure some sponsorship money because of our initiatives to make a difference within our SOBA community here in the US and Canada. Our Lend A Hand Initiative and Big Brother Initiative will give us a platform to use to seek corporate funds for our meetings and raise money for the programs.

Action items: We will develop a corporate sponsorship package and use it as a template to seek corporate sponsors at our national conventions.
